FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

  • Where can I find your local cut-flowers and dried florals?

You can ALWAYS contact me for flowers for small events and weddings, birthdays, bereavement, or just to have flowers in your home or office. I sell occasionally at the Woodstock Farm Festival, and Kingston and Phoenicia Farmer’s Market. You can sign up for my mailing list and I will keep you abreast of special events and my sales outlets.

  • Can I visit your flower farm or do you have a U-Pick set-up?

I am grateful to have someone who lets me use her land for flower farming. However given this arrangement, I cannot conduct business on her property. Our agreement enables me to offer locally grown bouquets, arrangements in vases, buckets of blossoms for DYI events and weddings, and CSAs.

  • When are your seasonal cut-flowers available? When do they bloom?

I have a unique variety of tulips and daffodils which begin blooming mid-April through May. Each year it varies slightly based on Mother Nature. June is all about the ranunculus, a favorite of mine as well as wonderful spring perennials and biannuals and cold-hardy annuals such as stock, snapdragons, and yarrow. By the beginning of July, the field is bursting with color which continues until the first frost. Dahlias start in the end of September. So the short answer…..Mid April until the first Fall frost!

  • Why do I have to pay sales tax for my flower purchase?

Unfortunately, it is NYS law that ALL cut-flowers are taxed. Wish it was not so! I pay 1/4ly taxes on all my sales.

  • Where is your pick-up location for your CSA?

This year, 2023 season, I am so excited to offer an expanded pick-up time for my customers at the fabulous Tinker Street Tavern in Woodstock, NY.
